Welcome to the RRPictureArchives.NET contributor site of Ronald E Estes.
Welcome to one of my Train pages in life, I am Ron Estes (Ronald E Estes) residing in Edmond Oklahoma and started out photographing trains in 1969 (only a handful as I either used my parents 35mm or a Kodak Instamatic 126 camera) Until I bought my first 35mm in 1982.
Unfortunately I did not begin using slide film on a regular basis until 1986. Then in 2011 I went all digital retiring out my Nikon N90 film camera and selling it.
I grew up on the railroad as my father who will turn 91 Oct 2017 is a retired depot agent who started his career after serving WWII with the Union Pacific Railroad in Hays, KS then went to the Santa Fe Railway and started out in Arkansas City, KS. His career took us to many towns and he spent his last working years 1976-1989 in Enid, OK.
Here you will find just about everything related to trains, from Motive Power of many class I's to short lines & industrial units, rolling stock MOW equipment, passenger cars, cabooses, buildings, track and bridges I have got it covered with over 100,000 pics.
I have been digitalizing my slides and negatives of the past and sell the slides and negatives and also offer JPG format files for sale of all my work. I also photograph buildings, cars, houses and various machinery too.
Have fun and be safe, see you by the rails.
